Editorial and clinical review policy
This page explains how we write our blog posts, who reviews them for clinical accuracy, and how to report a mistake.
Last updated October 13, 2026.
Who reviews our posts
Every post on the Sun County Wellness blog is clinically reviewed by Brittany Astrom, a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT).
New posts are reviewed before they publish, and each post shows the reviewer’s name and credential beneath its title.
What clinical review covers
The review checks that each post describes conditions, treatments and levels of care accurately.
Standards every post follows
- A post never promises a treatment result, a length of stay, or insurance coverage.
- Insurance information says that benefits vary by plan, and you can check yours with our insurance verification form.
- What a post says about Sun County Wellness programs comes from information our team has confirmed.
- Posts about crisis topics point you to emergency help.
Accreditation
Sun County Wellness is accredited by The Joint Commission. That accreditation applies to us as a provider, and it does not mean The Joint Commission has reviewed or endorsed these blog posts.
